- You must read the AmberNet AUP available on www.ambernet.org. If you
- do not want to follow the guidelines in the Acceptable Use Policy then

- o We have more than enough opers. Do not ask.
- o Clients must be RFC1459 compliant.
- o Your client must respond to normal ctcp requests.
- o We hold the right to disallow specific channels/nicknames.
- o No excessive connections. Max 2 connections per IP.
- o No spamming and/or mass advertising.
- o No WinGates or other proxies.
- o No racism/nazism.
- o We do not allow bots, however if you run a friendly bot chances are that
- we wont bother it. Run them at your own risk!
- o Your access may be revoked for any reason or no reason at all.

- 2009-10-27
- irc.vanbaak.info is now running Ratbox 3.0.4

- irc.vanbaak.info is back !
- After the move to it's new home the old server died a horrible dead.
- The cpu cooler was borked and the cpu literally melted.
- This is now a new system.
- With the new system a couple of things changed:
- - irc.vanbaak.info is now running on OpenBSD 4.4
- - irc6.vanbaak.info is no more. irc.vanbaak.info now has a
- A and a AAAA record. So just connect to irc.vanbaak.info and
- your system will take the ipv6 connection if possible

- irc.vanbaak.info is now running Ratbox 3.0.1

- 2007-11-20
- irc.vanbaak.info and irc6.vanbaak.info have a new oper: Kermit-
- use /stat p to see all opers connected.

- Upgraded to Ratbox 2.2.6

- 2007-04-27
- irc.vanbaak.info and irc6.vanbaak.info moved from cold steel to a
- xen virtual machine. This install is responsible for the ircd, the bopm
- and the eggdrop. Nothing else is running on the install.
- This should make irc.vanbaak.info and it's services even more stable.

- 2007-03-29
- Today irc.riblet.co.uk got delinked. We added Ribs to the opers list
- of irc.vanbaak.info. Ribs has done a great job with riblet over the years
- so we are more then happy to welcome him in the oper team of this server.

- 2006-11-27
- The machine running irc.vanbaak.info died.
- We are now running on new hardware.
- If you find anything misbehaving contact your fellow irc operator.

- All services and DNS issues are resolved.
- We took this downtime to upgrade to the latest ratbox stable.
